It is considered honorable, though pointless, to give the right of Shotgun away to a less skillfull passenger.
Shotgun Rule #10
In the case of multiple vehicles being used, multiple Shotguns may be called (though only once by each passenger). The first caller of Shotgun gets their choice of vehicle, the second caller gets second choice, and so on.
Shotgun Rule #9
Another passenger may at any time steal the right of Shotgun from a player cashing in their 100 Style points by using their own 100 Style points. In the end, the last passenger to cash in their Style points gains the right of Shotgun.
Shotgun Rule #8
One-hundred Style points may be redeemed at any time for the right of Shotgun. The points may be cashed in even if another person has already made the Shotgun call, thus robbing them of their victory.
Shotgun Rule #7
Style points on a scale from 1 to 10 will be awarded for the calling of Shotgun in a clever way (such as fitting it into a story being told, for instance). The number of points are decided by vote of the remaining passengers.
Shotgun Rule #6 (Example)
E.g., an ATM stop where half of the passengers exited the vehicle would not place Shotgun up for call again because a) not all of the passengers have exited the vehicle, and b) not all of the passengers have entered a structure.
Shotgun Rule #6
The call for Shotgun becomes available again once all passengers have exited the vehicle and entered a structure.
Shotgun Rule #5
Shotgun may not be called more than once per trek towards the car. Calling Shotgun more than once removes a passenger from play.
Shotgun Rule #4
It is not necessary for all passengers to use the same exit of a structure on the way to a vehicle. It is the passengerΓÇÖs responsibility to keep track of all other passengers in order to make a valid Shotgun call.
Shotgun Rule #3
All passengers must be on their way to the vehicle before Shotgun can be called. If a passenger enters a structure after gaining the right of Shotgun, the passenger is removed from play, and play resumes for the remaining passengers.
Shotgun Rule #2
Shotgun may only be called after the last passengerΓÇÖs nose has broken the plane of a doorway exiting into the outside world from the structure they are currently occupying.

If the driver of the vehicle obtains the right of Shotgun, he/she gets to choose who will ride in the front passenger seat of the vehicle.

Pay attention to your speed. If you go too slow, youΓÇÖll fall out of the sky. A fun option: cut your engines, fall a ways, then go to max thrust again. You can change altitudes quickly this way.

If your missiles never seem to hit, watch the aliens closely. TheyΓÇÖre probably shooting them out of the air. They canΓÇÖt do that if you fire the missiles from behind them.
The aliens are not afraid of ramming you. Beware.
Brush after every meal.
The aliens tend to do the same things in the same situations (like we do). Learn their tactics and anticipate their moves.
Your Target ID window is quite useful for identifying long-range opponents.
Remember what Dad used to say.
Use your positional thrusters to line up shots. ItΓÇÖs a lot easier than trying to bank or roll into position.
Learn to use your speed keys when flying. Moving at the same velocity all the time gives your enemy too much advantage. Vary your speed and youΓÇÖll do a lot better.
ItΓÇÖs okay to eat fish, ΓÇÖcause they donΓÇÖt have any feelings.
When playing as a turret, USE YOUR VIEWS! ItΓÇÖs much faster to look than to spin.
Shields take energy to sustain. The same amount of energy is expended to deflect low-powered shots as high-powered shots. Use your low-powered, high rate of fire weapons to take shields down and then hit them with your big guns.
Be kind to animals.
Many of the aliens are agile fliers. Joust with them by going to max velocity, getting some distance, and then doubling back to shoot.
